lilac lovely & floral dreams♡

Hello lovely ones! Hope your all having a wonderful February, I keep meaning to post more (lots planned) but never seem to have a moment spare at the moment!

 Been a super busy week interning with the wonderful 'Sukie' & visiting some favourite lovelies in London at the weekend! My saturday & sunday involved lots of dancing to 90's tunes and visiting pretty antique shops (: 

I was loving the little bit of sunshine that was starting to make an appearance...too excited for spring!!

Been back in Brighton these past two weeks which has jut felt magical, so nice to go to all my favourite spots once more, and see the sea! So excited to move back properly in Summer, yay!

Thought I'd post a little lilac garden girl from my flower girls project last year (I will write about the whole project soon (: ), but the more flowers I see the more I miss having vases everywhere full of delightful petals and fairy like scents and colours, definitely need to draw some more flowers again soon! I loved working on that so much! & I loved sitting in parks embracing spring in various gardens, there are some really truly beautiful hidden gems around Brighton which are simply perfect in Spring time (: 

  Looking forwards to some more trips to charity shops and countryside exploring later in the week when I'm not working! I also went to Lewes today for only the second time today to help hunt for some maps for the beautiful handmade Sukie books.

That place is like an absolute dream, jam packed full of shops selling gorgeous old trinkets, antiques and yummy goodness. I found possibly the world's smallest cake shop, which had simply the most spellbinding cakes I've ever seen, no other word to describe them, the main one in the window was a proper detailed gingerbread house which was so dreamy! and it even had it's own nutcracker man at the door, felt like I was staring into candy dream world <3

Rosey girl♡

Finally starting to see the beginning signs of spring, beautiful bright blue skies and glimmers of sunshine ♡

I just rediscovered this drawing I did earlier last year as part of my big flower project.  I can't wait to get going again with adding lots more new lovely girls to my drawing collection! 

I bought a few giant moleskines and some pastel paper today which are sitting here ready to go! Feeling quite inspired and excited to get going on some new works at the moment! Hope you like her & you all have beautiful weekends with lots of nice plans lovlies! 

I'm heading to London for a few days to explore some markets and catch up with some very excellent friends, excited!

A/W Fashion Dolly Mix ♡

Thought I'd share a little collage I made of my 3 favourite new A/W shows from the past few weeks in a big dolly mix♡

Phoebe English: Straight from Vauxhall Fashion Scout her hot hot pink outfits caught my attention with their interesting little side details and lovely candy contrasting tones. Amelia's Magazine has done a wonderful article on her show here...Phoebe English Catwalk Review by Miranda Williams..

which features an illustration I did of the show (middle image above)! Exciting times!

Orla Kiely: I've always been a huge Orla fan, and the new collection is just super dreamy. Inspired by 1920's the show was held as a 'tea dance', there's just so much that looked perfect and beautiful, from sparkly shoes to lovely peter pan collars and foxy prints! I love the tea dresses with the sheer overlay of classic pattern, and the sparkly collars (I saw there were also sparkly shoes!..too good!)

Jeremy Scott: Never fails to amaze me, and this season was no exception. It was like a trip down the rainbow into my little pony sugar coated wonderland. 

So much pastel shimmery unicorn goodness going on, and the models all had big puffy pastel hair with gorgeous little punky details. I've totally fallen in love with the big red sparkly platforms too...dorothy heaven! Now I shall have to go off to watch wizard of oz and dream about a life of sparkles and glitter down the yellow brick road!♡

Pink Cotton Candy Wonderland♡

Thought I'd share some favourite February (and all time) inspirations & things I'm forever obsessed with straight from the wonderland ...

From Top Left: Top Row: Charlotte Free & her dreamy style & ever changing pink hair (a girl after my own heart), The Virgin Suicides Photography Stills book (been trying for over 4 years to get a copy and its so rare, but sometimes catch glimses of its gorgeous contents on blogs & fall in love all over again), Pink haired Blythes..I am forever a Blythe super fan and these ladies will always come tops!..


Second Row: A sneaky peak at a very special Marie Antoinette illustration I've been working on for a very lovely lady (you'll find out more soon!), The Pastel Hair spread from Lula magazine a few years ago, I continually look at it and wish I could have every colour and float around in fairy space like the pretty girls in the pictures, Miniature Carousels! (SO dreamy!!)


Third Row: Lana Del Rey in her Vogue Spread March Vogue 2012, I've loved her since the moment I first heard her, I don't care if she's massive and tons of people hate her for silly reasons, at the end of the day I think she's beautiful inside and out and her voice is just delightful, Wild fox new collection & collaboration with Jeffrey Campbell...ballet platforms and long floaty pastel lilac skirts..my wish list is forever growing!! So perfect! ♡, Miniature cakes and dollhouse things! I need to get a dollhouse & start collecting it's all so gorgeous! 


Fourth row: Sleeping beauty, forever inspiring and my most favourite princess fairytale of all, Louis Vuitton S/S 12, Candy colours, ice cream and a fashion show where they all rode on a giant carousel...stuff of dreams! & lastly, unicorns, they are always a big feature in my imagination, and I love drawing them..fantastic excuse to always get the glitter out! They also remind me of one of my favourite 90's films 'The last unicorn'. 


I managed to finally get my hair to the cotton candy shade I wanted today tooo - yay!

Enchanted in the flowers - Valentines Love♡

Hope you all had wonderful valentine's days my beauties!

 Craig & I decided were doing ours a week late as we're opposite ends of the country again! But an excuse to be even more pink than usual (not hard!) is always a good plan by me!

 Thought I'd share with you a girl I've been working on recently who I think I might also sell as a limited print soon! Inspired by sleeping beauty, forests and dreams I like to think she's a spellbound type♡

Dollhouse in the clouds♡

On Saturday I went to the top of Portobello market with all the beautiful little antique shops, so many gorgeous old pieces of furniture and victorian pieces. As I was walking past one shop, I saw what literally was my dream dolls house, it was pastel pink and huge and dusty on a little antique table, ahh it broke my heart when I saw the price & left it sitting there! So I decided to do an illustration based on a little dreamy dollhouse, I like to think it's floating away in a dream land . Hope you like!♡

Kirsten as Antionette♡

Hello beauties! Been meaning to post more new drawings but they're still in progress, so though instead I'd show you my print (available soon I promise!) on my wall, with my wonderous new japanese heart washi tape! Kirsten is one of my favourite actresses of all time, and is perfect at playing the romantic delicate type with an edge. 

Had a coppola night last night with Craig where I re-watched Marie Antoinette for the millionth time and was reminded of why it shall always be a complete fav, the romantic dreamy colours, lavish ruffley costumes and the whole fantastical dream of being in Versailles in the Rococo era just send me dreaming  everytime. Thought I'd post a selection of gorgeous photos from the film with my drawing!

Pastel pink dream's of unicorn's ♡

So I decided that I'm going to attempt to do a post almost every day this month of a new fairytaley illustration in this month of rosey valentines loveliness ...


Here's the first..a little unicorn...I attempted to use crayons again, quite liking the delicate colours, I wanted him to be a pretty mystical little fellow♡

I'm loving the massive influx of Candy Pop at the moment, and have found so many amazing sugary sweet things/inspiration recently, I'll blog more soon! Anyway, Happy 1st February Lovelies! Lots of Love
