Pink Cotton Candy Wonderland♡

Thought I'd share some favourite February (and all time) inspirations & things I'm forever obsessed with straight from the wonderland ...

From Top Left: Top Row: Charlotte Free & her dreamy style & ever changing pink hair (a girl after my own heart), The Virgin Suicides Photography Stills book (been trying for over 4 years to get a copy and its so rare, but sometimes catch glimses of its gorgeous contents on blogs & fall in love all over again), Pink haired Blythes..I am forever a Blythe super fan and these ladies will always come tops!..

Second Row: A sneaky peak at a very special Marie Antoinette illustration I've been working on for a very lovely lady (you'll find out more soon!), The Pastel Hair spread from Lula magazine a few years ago, I continually look at it and wish I could have every colour and float around in fairy space like the pretty girls in the pictures, Miniature Carousels! (SO dreamy!!)

Third Row: Lana Del Rey in her Vogue Spread March Vogue 2012, I've loved her since the moment I first heard her, I don't care if she's massive and tons of people hate her for silly reasons, at the end of the day I think she's beautiful inside and out and her voice is just delightful, Wild fox new collection & collaboration with Jeffrey Campbell...ballet platforms and long floaty pastel lilac skirts..my wish list is forever growing!! So perfect! , Miniature cakes and dollhouse things! I need to get a dollhouse & start collecting it's all so gorgeous!

Fourth row: Sleeping beauty, forever inspiring and my most favourite princess fairytale of all, Louis Vuitton S/S 12, Candy colours, ice cream and a fashion show where they all rode on a giant carousel...stuff of dreams! & lastly, unicorns, they are always a big feature in my imagination, and I love drawing them..fantastic excuse to always get the glitter out! They also remind me of one of my favourite 90's films 'The last unicorn'.

I managed to finally get my hair to the cotton candy shade I wanted today tooo - yay!

& Some new prints I've previously posted about are now available in my shop! ...Rose Petal Deer Shop

Hope your all having lovely weekends! Lots of Love x x x

Enchanted in the flowers - Valentines Love♡

Hope you all had wonderful valentine's days my beauties!

Craig & I decided were doing ours a week late as we're opposite ends of the country again! But an excuse to be even more pink than usual (not hard!) is always a good plan by me!

Thought I'd share with you a girl I've been working on recently who I think I might also sell as a limited print soon! Inspired by sleeping beauty, forests and dreams I like to think she's a spellbound type♡
Also, I've been featured on a few lovely little places I keep forgetting to write about!...
The wonderful Illustration Rally (so many beautiful love related illustrations!)
Ballad Of...so much amazing talent on here! I spend far too long glancing through the dreamy pool of talent (:.
The Young Creatives, a site with lots of lovely bits to read about other creatives & general nice stuff!
Let me know what you think! Lots of Love x o x o

Pink & Pretty Postcards ♡

This week some postcards I'd ordered of a few of my drawings finally arrived, which is exciting!...first time I've had any of them made into anything! (:

They are all very rosey and pastel-ified and delicate, a nice cute idea for a valentines present (:

I'm currently working on trying to set up some kind of online shop (I'm not too technologically minded with these things!), but links will be up as soon as I do!....

Currently you can get these designs as prints & all sorts of other exciting things like laptop cases on the lovely society 6....http://society6.com/emilysparkle
Hope you like!

Alice & Other Tales & Things ♡

So Today I ventured up to Liverpool to visit the Alice in Wonderland exhibition before it finished. In being an ma-haaasive alice lover myself I had high expectations & excitement before I even got there..and well..I was blown away! If you get chance before it finishes this week...goooo quickly & soak up some of it's magic!...

There was everything from the original manuscripts, tons of various copies of the book (lots old and with absolutely gorgeous delicate illustrations), Lewis Caroll's photography...and his camera! and so much incredibly art by the biggest variety of artists all sharing the spirit and themes of one of my favourite tales. The range and beauty of the art there was insane, it all felt like a huge cloud of dreamy inspiration.

Here's a cute little section of the gorgeous display in the shop...(there were cakes suspended from the ceiling ! !)..

I've been really getting into re reading old (and new) fairytales recently, namely 'Alice Through the needles eye' & 'Grimm's Fairytales' & watching tons of old disney films (: I've been working on some princesses and fairytales bits as I've mentioned in previous posts, so thought it was about time to post a few pictures...! Here's Snow White...

aaaaand a little fairy castle and sleeping beauty....

more to come soon...hope you've all had wonderful Saturdays...lots of love!
