Blush Crush ♡

Soo I'm full blown in my last few months of uni eeek! Poor little blog has still been so abandoned!
There's been so many ups and downs and super stressful moments literally can't wait until it's all over and I'm braved with the real world! Me and Craig are aiming to move to Tokyo and fulfil our dreams! ♡
February is one of my favourite months and despite the crazy business I've had some wonderous sparkly pink fun, so thought I'd do a little post! Starting with some of my creative crushes and inspiration at the moment...

Hope everyone is having lovely months, did anyone do nice things for valentines day? I always love the romance and sheer amount of pretty things around the shops in February and getting glittered and going somewhere cute! This year me and Craig actually managed to be together on the day! & on the eve before we went to see Kyary Pamyu Pamyu which was so lovely - she is such a brilliant happy bubble of inspiration! We had pink ice cream and yummy Japanese munch on the morn, here are a few little photos :)

& here's a further few snapshots of my recent designing/my world currently consisting of lots of layers of furry collars in this super chilly weather, moodboards of pastel goodness for inspiration and my growing tutu collection!

Happy New Year!

Hello lovelies! My poor little blogs been most neglected over recent months due to a crazy schedule of uni & part time work all juggled around Christmas! I hope you all had magical christmas's & new years! Here's me & my lovely friends spending ours! Here's to an exciting year full of happiness and fun times! I'll start posting more regularly again soon! :)

Pastel Deer ♡

So I know we still have another month to go but I'm starting to get very excited about Christmas! Already we've began the nights of mulled wine and Love Actually in our little house to distract ourselves from the freezing cold Brighton nights! The shops are full to the brim of so many utterly delightful deer-like treats ahh I fell in love with so much cuteness walking round at the weekend!

As a little break from my continual mounting work load from uni, I have been spending my eve's of late listening to christmas tunes drinking hot chocolate and painting these two little cuties, who I think are going to be incorporated into an ever growing Christmas world thats going to emerge in our living room :) 

I think they need names though! Any ideas lovelies? Hope your all having wonderful weeks! Lots of love x x x x

Ghosts of gone birds♡

An exciting little event of the past couple of weeks has been my participating in a wonderful new exhibition in Brighton ...opening on 8th November based on the theme of extinct birds. It's super exciting!!!...read more HERE ! !

For my piece I did a detailed drawing of a Dodo which you can see in progress here with me in my room :)

I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such an amazing exhibition of such a variety of super talented artists! Some of the pieces really blew me away! Don't want to reveal too much as I think you all should go visit for yourselves and see some truly beautiful birdy related treats! 

The wonderful lady who I couldn't have done all of this without needs a mention too, the wonderful Debbie, who runs MoonKo an online platform of wonderful artists (I'm again lucky to be part of!)

Tim's magical wonderland ♡

Hello lovelies! Thought I'd do a little post on the current Tim Walker exhibition on at Somerset House,

Tim Walker is right up there as one of my main creative inspirations, he is just amazing, namely why I decided to write my dissertation on him, which (aside from the scary technicality of the marking of my writing side) I am absolutely loving!

His style - influenced by a love of all things childlike and fairytale is just so perfect, and I'm loving discovering new films and ways of seeing things just through researching into his ideas behind each shoot.

Since I first saw the candy kittens in the garden and the ribbon tied house from his last book 'Pictures', I've been hooked... you can see my earlier blog post with all my love for that HERE !

On Wednesday night me and my friend Phoebe went a talk he gave all about his ideas and feelings about Photography, and really his vision is just incredible. He full on follows his imagination for pictures hooking into that bit of  daydream and exploiting it into something truly excessive and magical that draws us into a world that can only be in the clouds of our dreams.  

My favourite part had to be the giant sized doll fro January Vogue Italia's 'Like a Doll' shoot & the Spitfire that was crashing through the walls. We were lucky enough to meet the magical man himself too! - Pretty starstruck!

The first bells of christmas sparkle ♡

So yesterday (yes I know its early) was the first time I started to feel a little bit christmassy! Me and my housemates watched Love Actually and made mulled wine, got a ton of blankets and candles and I packaged up the first batch of my little christmas cards I've been working on for my Etsy which are available now HERE <3

They are each based on a different winter wonderland animal :) & are super sparkly and covered in candy canes! - I've spent many hours recently hand painting on all the glitter! Anyways...here they are! I hope you like! Have wonderful weekends everyone!

October sparkly pic n mix ♡

Super busy couple of weeks for me! & no doubt it's only going to get busier! Been doing lots and lots of drawing for my final major project (eeeek!) and trying to write my dissertation (double eeek!) - on the wonderful Tim Walker. I'm TOO excited to go and see his exhibition this week! - I will definitely be blogging about that soon! 

I'm also going to be part of an exciting exhibition in Brighton called 'Ghosts of gone birds' organised for me by the wonderful MoonKo, I'll post more on this later in the week! This post is a bit of a pic n mix!...
