Finding creative peace ♡

Some current feels...

As you probably gather (if you read my blog and its very random up datedness!) that I`ve been living in Tokyo for the past 2 years and a few months. Tokyo, and namely my town, Shimokitazawa is definitely one of my favourite places on this earth.
I am currently on a short hiatus to heal my mind, body and soul from numerous stresses! My next step will be back in beautiful Japan (left my boy there ee!) but from an outlook and mindset I don`t think I would've felt before. Small life changes and taking yourself out of the bubble can prove undeniably helpful - if everything is so negative and confused coming from your lips, so is your thought process. A change of environment can be the most daunting but the most soul refreshing. I was listening to some really beautiful interesting podcasts yesterday evening and some of the wisest words arose `the worlds standard of judging is not in accordance with the higher ethics of the soul`.
Heres my buddha bunny, I think everyone should be like him, because the world needs a little more zen and love and sometimes time out,  I think he`d advise only you have the power to figure out the craziness of life and let yourself be less affected and connect to yourself, and with that the happier and more full of a life you'll lead, and with that (super deep post compared to normal!) hope your all having magical saturdays, nourish your hearts and minds well! lots of love x x x x

Aoyama Cemetery ♡

This place was so beautiful it made me cry, maybe it was the sheer amount of flowers, how quiet it was and the fact it was such a calming peaceful place, every grave was so well looked after and had lovely flowers placed around it, and the sakura was fully bloomed and beginning to fall slightly with the wind. This area of Tokyo between Aoyama and Roppongi is not somewhere I`d been to before, its  full of offices and large expensive buildings and shops, but this little haven between lovely Aoyama and some of Tokyos big art galleries felt like miles away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, I can't wait for the photos from my little film camera to come out! ahh!

& my first trip to try yummy cold pressed juice in Tokyo! yum!

Lots of love! x x x

Cherry Blossom World Part 1 : Yoyogi, Shibuya, Daikanyama & Nakameguro ♡

Any of you who in any way follow me on instagram (much more frequent than here), will know there are few things (apart from deer and shiny glittery kawaii things of course) that I love more than Sakura, Japan in Sakura season really is something else, and never fails to lift my spirits and make me feel all kinds of magic, this year it was particularly needed after I lost my job and Tokyo can be such an overwhelming crazy harsh place at times. However when the flowers are blooming and everyone gets together for `hanami` flower picnics, and the rivers are lit up with blooms in some of my favourite neighbourhoods, its as if for a few short weeks communities and kind nature are drawn out from every corner, every park or public space is full of people happy to mingle and enjoy the sight of these magical pink flowers, its definitely one of the things I`d miss the most if I move. My flowery few weeks will need a few posts, but heres the first

Instants of the first hanami with some friends & fun in yoyogi park, yoyogi is probably one of the busiest hanami spots but always super fun,

It was kind of overcast and going dark but you get the sense of the blossoms, and drinking sake from my lunch jar as I didn't have a glass haha,

Full blooms over Shibuya...

In one of my absolute favourite places Nakameguro, the blossoms line the river and are just incredible, particularly at night when they are all a lit up with a rosey pink glow..

& my new favourite toy, little film camera `sakura cam`, its been ages since I did any 35mm film so can`t wait to see the results!

Hope your all having lovely weeks! Lots of love! x x x x

Art Cafe Muse Shibuya ♡

New favourite discovery was this little gem, hidden away behind a load of teensy record shops lining the backstreets of Shibuya and a few floors up a little building, it was so cute & pretty! - perfect for spending a few hours with a nice drink and my sketchbook. There were cute drinks for couples especially for valentines day, swinging window seats with vines all around, fairy lights & chandeliers shining on everything and art all over the place!  all over the walls and lots of individual artists homemade wares by the door that you could buy, definitely will be going back! ♡

Let them eat cake, a world of girly pink goodness ♡

Hi lovelies! So I've been working on so many bits and pieces recently, really need to get round to blogging it all!
I did a couple of commissions for the wonderful Audrey Grace Boutique, a delightful little shop in America run by the lovely Jaclyn.

This is the first, which I absolutely loved doing, a sparkly poster based on Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette. Marie Antoinette is probably my ultimate style icon, and Sofia's version of her is just too lovely, ever since I first watched the film I've dreamed about the exquisite long lacy dresses and gorgeous shoes. The cakes and colours, and candy popping brilliance just is so hard to beat! <3

Absolutely LOVE Kirsten's hair when it's all peachy with roses, one of best bits of styling I've ever come across <3

Been watching the film lots recently (bit like a bible for me (: )  It's making me excited for spring to be able to wear long lacy things again and lie in grass drinking nice summery drinks and having picnics!...

Jaclyn has done some super lovely styling akin to the dreamy vibes of spring time too, I can't stop looking at some of her styling shoots, particularly this dreamy girl and flowers, so many pretty things!...It's all here..Audrey Grace Boutique..

I'm feeling incredibly candy-fied today. I've been working on a whole series of candy girls, lots of pink paper, glitter and pastel things and pencils were involved! My bed is looking like a big sparkly mess! Here's a little sneaky peak of one of the drawing's I've been working on!...
Hope your all having lovely week's! My mum told me today that some of the trees are starting to blossom in our village so think I might venture out and try take some pretty snaps tomorrow <3 Love Springtime!

Looking forwards to the weekend too, when Craig is coming home and we're having a Japanese style picnic with fizzy wine for my birthday celebrations (: Happy times!

OO & In other exciting news, two absolute darling lovelies have featured me on their blogs,

The wonderful Natasha of 'The Secret Tea Party' ...The Secret Tea Party Blog
& lovely Poppy of Poppy Lauren Vintage Poppy Lauren Vintage

Both are regular reads of mine and are absolutely gorgeous! & they are both such nice ladies too!

Have a look (:

 Lots of love! x x x
