Harajuku Wanderings ♡

On of my absolute favourite places (no surprise) is Harajuku, its like a total hub of creativity and I'm always discovering new shops/places/galleries etc whenever I go for a wander there - which so far has been at least once a week! One of my all time favourite shopping places is the wonderful La Foret, a haven for everything cute with so many unique Japanese fashion brands and beautiful things. I love the displays of so many of the shops as well - so much thought and effort goes in.
On a visit last week I particularly loved this deer and floral display..so pretty!...

Love this shot of the front of Laforet during sales week, it was totally mental, completely rammed with trance music playing and all the shop staff screaming their deals! So much fun!

Some super cuteness in a few shops around Harajuku..

I also got Tokyo Street Snappered' By Reona Street Photographer:
Reona's Blog

An abidance of some of the cuteness I bought when in Harajuku when I first arrived - Laduree Make up *squeal* - ( more about that later!!)

& buying my dream shoes in my favourite shoe shop ever, Tokyo Bopper, not only are the staff all super cute and nice but the shoes are all made in Japan, super comfortable and just. AMAZING. I could create such a big wish list!! haha!

& wearing my new'uns!

Tokyo : Part One ♡

So I'm finally back from the what was like my ultimate dreamworld !!! (sorry for lack of blogging recently) Tokyo was ahhhh-mazing, everything I ever imagined it to be and more and me & Craig were both pretty sad to be leaving! (already thinking about our next trip!)

There was so much creative inspiration and beautiful places and things, and such a magical happy feeling everywhere, everyone we met was so super friendly and helpful, and the places we discovered were continually breathtaking, Tokyo I loooove you! Here's some of my favourite bits :)

Flying through the sunset on the plane ride out...a complete sea of pastel pink and mint green <3
In the first few days we explored the area we were staying - near Tokyo station, and discovered character street, an incredible street with a shop for every cute character in Japan (AMAZING), there was a Rilakkuma, Hello Kitty, Studio Ghibli.....if you get excited by such cute things like I do it was a major overdose <3, then our first proper exploring place..Harajuku,
A maze of cute little streets, shops, very cute things and a sea of pink *wahh* <3
Here's a super cute little gallery we found which had lychee drinks and pastel pink graffiti..

One of my absolute favourite shops, which if your going to Tokyo you absolutely HAVE to visit was Kiddyland, floor upon floor of amazing adorable toys and treats....Blythe, disney, pastels, cuteness...all in one building....<3 A wall of Blythe I was faced with....(not sure how I coped)...more Blythe related posting will be following!...

One of my favourite things about Harajuku was just the wondering not sure what gems we'd find, there were shops that were something straight from the set of Virgin Suicides and just pink and pastel prettyness everywhere <3 Here's some cute snippets...

Not far down the road in Ometosando was an exhibition by one of my absolute favourites, Pip & Pop, you can't get more dreamy fairytaleland pastel than this <3 *wahhhh*...

Another incredible toy shop...so packed you could hardly move and about 7 floors high, just a mass of rainbow and sparkles <3...

A cat cafe in Shinjuku, something I'd always wanted to try, there were around 50 breeds of pedigree kitties who come and hang with you while you drink your soya latte <3, some of them were so super cuddly and being the huge cat fanatic I am it was amazing to see so many! The cute little Birman (left) was my fav, he was just so content and cute lolling about :)

Sofia Coppola is probably my main creative inspiration so visiting the New York Bar in Park Hyatt was probably one of the most exciting things we did, pretending we were in Lost in Translation looking at a super beautiful Tokyo skyline and drinking lavender gin...and then...Sofia Coppola Rose! Definitely worth a visit! If you go before sunset (around late afternoon) you don't pay to reserve a table although the drinks are pricey, the magical feeling and the enchanting view of Tokyo skyline is like nothing I've ever seen!..this was my lavender syrup gin....

Part of the view...

Part two will be coming soon! Thinking of starting another little blog with my ideas on a Tokyo guide, what do you lovelies think? Hope everyones having a wonderful week! Lots of Love x x x x

Sugar Coated Lolita Inspiration ♡

I go to Tokyo in 100 days time with Craig! Words cannot describe how insanely exciting this is for us - it's been both of our dreams since we can ever remember - Japanese culture, and the many vibrant beautiful trends and subcultures has always fascinated me and I can't wait to explore it all and find lots of exciting pretty pastel treats!

Pink Lolita's have always been a big inspiration - I love the enormous bows, layering of sheer and ruffley Marie Antoinette style pastel & just complete sugar overdoses. I decided to make a little mood board based on some of my favourite inspiring images/ pretty things (I have soooo many images I could have included so will probably be making more soon) <3
I wish the array of exciting bows and ribbons and chunky shoes! ahhhh massssive wishlist!
If any of you lovelies know anywhere good to go I'd absolutely love to hear from you!

(Most images taken from weheartit) Top Row: Lolly Pop swirls as accesories, big puffy pink hair with lilac bits in, super long spidery eyelashes <3, an AMAZING hair do -(if anyone knows where this is from let me know!) - she's just pure candy floss!, pink lychee drinks (SO super yummy, a recent discovery from the Japanese super market near me - it seems like Japan has hundred of varietys of these exciting tea/fruit based juices <3

Second row: Two Lolitas in head to toe pink (LOVE IT), a very insane looking floral petal cake!, a super cute lolita with an overload of bows and pretty darling accesories in her hair.

Third Row: A Make your own ice cream cake thing- and they have faces..which you add...just wow!, really cute manga drawing, japanese bun <3

Fourth Row: Gorgeous pink blythe complete with her own mini hello kitty, chunky fringe, lace collar and turquoise oversize bow <3 and a completely gorgeous Marie Antoinette dress.

Fifth Row: beautiful minature Marie Antoinette cake, petticoat dress, AMAZE pink strappy ballet style shoes and matching parosol from Japanese magazine and finally girl with pony bag and carousel dress! - too cute!

Oh & here's a little Candy Video I'm a bit addicted to..
